SUMMARY
The Quality Control Inspector/Test Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, and calibration of electronic components and systems in a contract manufacturing environment. This role involves precision assembly, electrical testing, calibration of electrical/electronic equipment, and the preparation of specialized components to meet product specifications and standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Inspect incoming electrical materials, in-process electrical assemblies, and finished products for conformance to electrical specifications and industry standards.
- Interpret and execute Test & Inspection guidelines for electrical/electronic assemblies, components, and systems as per work order requirements.
- Develop and document electrical/electronic Test & Inspection procedures for new products in coordination with Engineering teams.
- Perform electrical testing and calibration, ensuring that components meet voltage, resistance, current, and signal quality requirements.
- Coordinate in-house testing and troubleshooting activities with Production to meet schedule, quality, and safety objectives for electronic products.
- Ensure accurate documentation of quality records, including test results, calibration data, and test setups.
- Track and record labor hours and materials used during test and inspection activities.
- Inspect and maintain tools, fixtures, test equipment, and measuring devices for quality and proper calibration.
- Collect, analyze, and report QC metric data related to electronic components to management.
- Identify and resolve electrical or electronic tooling or training deficiencies that may affect product quality and safety.
- Recommend improvements to production methods and equipment to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical/electronic systems.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings, along with experience in using MS Office suite.
- Solid understanding of electrical testing tools and procedures, including soldering, crimping, electro-mechanical assembly, and related electrical manufacturing processes.
- Ability to follow and implement QMS and customer-specific quality procedures, policies, and practices related to electrical/electronic components.
- Skilled in troubleshooting technical electrical/electronic issues and working collaboratively to resolve them.

EFE operates out of a newly renovated 35,000 square foot facility located in Perkasie, PA. Overtime possibly on Saturdays 7:00am-12:00pm as needed.
